holy mother of santa clause. have you had the experience? have you seen and heard what can only be seen and heard and never told? have you left the city without traveling an inch? have you been? have you BEEN? HAVE you been to the toledo show? forget your mind, your soul it will blow.

the dancing godesses ain't so bad, but the music, the tunes, the funk, tha funk, da funky, jazzy, bluesy, funky funkster funking funk. i do think it's every sunday, but baby, buddy, friend, amigo, compadre, neighbor, partner, lover, co-worker, fellow zoo attendee, consort, escort... in the name of everything that is good and warm and fuzzy, please, please, please do yourself a favor and go check these badass motherfuckers out. sundays at harvelles, the classiest bar in la. and it's not even in la, it's in santa monica on 4th in the crotch of broadway and santa monica. 9:30pm, be 15 minutes late, 'cause they surely will be. sunday, or soon it will be changed, changed by the running man to funkday.

    Where's a great non-pretentious blues bar/club/joint to hang at?
    I did like Hravelle's, but I'm in Toluca Lake. Anywhere closer to me and, maybe, a little more dive-y?
