Veteran Chicago bass player Willie Kent recently passed away after battling Cancer. He had played with many major dudes including Little Walter, Howlin' Wolf, and Muddy. He fronted his own band here called Willie Kent and the Gents.
He was always smiling and seemed like a real nice guy. It's sad to see yet another blues musician pass on. Especially considering he is one of the post-post-war guys, so to speak. He was only 70. What is going to happen to our beloved blues when all these people are gone?
