    Not true blues of course but he was/is a soul legend.
    
    I saw him about (3) years ago at the Doheny Blues Festival. He mentioned at the time he was sick but would do his best for us.

  Went over to a friend's house the other night and we listened to the 78s of Funky Funky Broadway, Mustang Sally and Midnight Hour. Hadn't listened to them in far too long. Song great vibes there.
