Just got back from a screening of Martin Scorcese's "Red White & Blues" documentary - it's a couple of years old, I think, but that doesn't matter - it was fantastic. Traces the roots of the blues explosion in England from the '30s or so through the '70s, which played a pivotal role in helping American audiences discover the killer music being played by a largely unknown group of folks in their own backyards. Some great live jam sessions w/unexpected guests (Tom Jones, Van Morrison, et al) and classic clips of the good ol' boys doing their thing. Other than Clapton rambling on about his own youthful arrogance (true, but who cares?), the interviews are insightful and the music rocks. Filmed really well, also - guitarists in particular will appreciate the closeups.

All blues fans should check it out!
