Mon, September 12, 2005 - 8:17 AMTrue!
With help from the North Missisippi All Stars (and Los Lonely Boys......:0).
Kidding aside that's the good aspect of younger bands playing the blues.

Thu, September 15, 2005 - 11:46 AMRL will be greatly missed, with Little Milton and Clarence Gatemouth Brown, we've lost a few greats in the last few months. -

Re: RIP R.L. Burnside
Thu, September 15, 2005 - 12:38 PMDamn, I had heard about R.L. and Little Milton but Gate was a shock. He was a cranky old fella but he was a true genre defying musician. Sadly, we also lost Detroit Junior recently.
What is going to happen to our blues when all we have left is psuedo-blues bands?

Re: RIP R.L. Burnside
Thu, September 15, 2005 - 5:49 PMI didn't know about Gatemouth either. He was a real entertainer and player of lots of instruments, some of them very well.
Support those artists and see em while you can! -

Re: RIP R.L. Burnside
Fri, September 16, 2005 - 10:58 AMI'm lucky enough to live in Chicago so I go as often as I can. Unfortunately, the business side of blues show business has kind of put the bite on many of these buys touring through here like they did a few years ago.
