Sorry I didn't see this previously, but the NY State Blues Festival in Syracuse is always outstanding. It's probably come and gone this year. When I lived in Syracuse I went every year (until 1999). That town has a highly active blues scene (check out Los Blancos). Early on the fest was free daytime in Clinton Square then after dark bands spread around town at different bars. Later all night acts went to the Hotel on two stages. Not sure how they are doing it now, but the festival continued to grow each year so changed frequently.
