Sunday is the Birthday of Robert Johnson - born May 8, 1907 in Hazelhurst Missippi. That's worth a whole weekend of celebration! Should be a holiday. Everybody go out on Sunday and drink a toast to Robert (Hell, drink the whole bottle), sing the blues all night long, then take Monday off work.
Listening to the Complete Recordings...Wow!
I just love "Come On In My Kitchen". Sends chills up my spine. Every time.
Y'all have a good one,
Bob

Re: Robert Johnson's Birthday
Sat, May 7, 2005 - 10:49 AMWithout Robert J, we wouldn't HAVE the Blues as we know it (nor would we, in my estimation, have anything CLOSE to Rock n Roll).
Happy Birthday Robert. In case you haven't seen it, Eric CLapton has released a DVD of him recording a whole bunch of your music called "Sessions for Robert J". He does you right, Robert. It's a beautiful thing.
Respect,
T
