So I just got their album today, and it's pretty good. The hardcore blues snobs will find reasons to shoot holes in it, but it's pretty catchy stuff. Anybody else heard them? I get the feeling from their sound that they're probably much better live...

Sun, June 13, 2004 - 7:27 PMif you like these guys - you might want to try a group called The Iguanas - they are a tex-mex-new orleans band that is a lot of fun live and great music. I've heard the stuff on VH1 but that's it... glad to hear it is worth a try!

Sun, October 3, 2004 - 12:23 PMI saw them live at the Labor Day Bluesfest in Bedford. They where pretty good. Their stuff is real different. They seem to lack a "Hook" though.Just didn't quite get me. I think we'll see more of these youngsters & I think they'll just get better. If I had to call it something, I'd call it TexMex Rock. I was thinking they'd probably sound better recorded. -

Tue, May 17, 2005 - 5:26 PMYou will definitely enjoy Mato Nanji of Indigenous. One of the best sounding guitar/amp setups I've ever heard live. He rocked the H.O.B. here in Chicago earlier this year. I nick named his sister the drummer "Timex". She keeps perfect time but thats about it. Enjoy! -

Re: Los Lonely Boys
Sat, May 28, 2005 - 4:20 PMI guess we should only talk about Muddy Waters, Howlin Wolf and John Lee Hooker. Any contemporary blues is now off the table. Have fun. -

Re: Los Lonely Boys
Fri, September 16, 2005 - 11:24 AMI thought maybe I was being too hard on these fellas because, after all, they are not responsible for the misperception of others in regard to what a blues band is. Then I visited their hilarious website.
A band who lists Hanson as part of ANY rock 'n' roll institution is doing a better job of making fools of themselves than I ever could.
Enjoy these down and dirty "bluesmen" while you can because they are destined for the cut-out bins.
